Aranzadi Science Society was founded in 1947 as a non-profit association that works with pure and applied scientific and technical research into problems and issues related to the natural and human environment; the dissemination of this knowledge and of the results of the research conducted; and the protection and conservation of the archaeological and natural heritage.
Aranzadi is based in Donostia-San Sebastián and mainly works in the Basque Country and its surroundings, though its research has no boundaries, with collaborators at a national and international level.
